Philips 43 Inch 4K UHD Monitor BDM4350UC
Philips is currently preparing to release a new 43-inch 60Hz ‘4K’ Ultra HD IPS monitor, model BDM4350UC, that will be the successor to the smaller 40-inch model BDM4065UC.
Philips has designed the BDM4350UC for an audience that requires an extremely large surface area for work or entertainment. The monitor has a diagonal of 43″, 42.151″ viewable, and a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, resulting in a pixel density of 103.64 ppi (pixels per inch).
That should be very comfortable to use as it is similar to a 21.5” Full HD monitor’s pixel density. It has a contrast ratio of 1200:1, a brightness of 300 cd/m², viewing angles of 178°/178°, and a specified response time of 5 ms (gray to gray). It uses a flicker-free standard gamut W-LED backlight.
Price of Philips BDM4350UC monitor will be around 800 euros
The BDM4350UC supports both PiP (Picture-in-Picture) and PbP (Picture-by-Picture) including support for four connected devices (PbP). It has a metal stand with a four-legged design and slender glossy black bezels. It features 2 Display Port 1.2 connectors, two HDMI 2.0 ports (with MHL), and one D-Sub VGA port. Furthermore, the back of the monitor has 4 USB 3.0 ports (1 with fast-charging), a 3.5 mm audio input jack, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
The monitor has two built-in 7 W stereo speakers as well as 200 x 200 mm VESA holes allowing the monitor to be mounted to an alternative stand or mount, or hung on a wall.
According to available information, the BDM4350UC will be available in Europe in April, and in the US in May or June. Price of this huge monitor will be around 800 euros.
